The Icon of London's Cultural Fusion
The Royal Albert Hall of Arts and Sciences was the fruition of Prince Albert's inspiration of the Great Exhibition in 1851, held at Hyde Park, London. It was completed by 1871, only after the demise of the visionary and had been named thus, by Queen Victoria. The magnanimous building is situated in the City of Westminster, in the Knightsbridge Area, and enriches the already plush culture of music, London is famous for. The Hall lives up to its visionary's expectations and promotes the fusion of Science and Arts through exhibitions, ceremonies and charity performances. Since 1941, the yearly summer Proms concert is held here, along with 350 different cultural events, throughout the year.
