Based in the Convent Garden, this museum aims at conserving and explaining the Transport Heritage of the Capital of Britain. Majority of the exhibits in the London Transport Museum finds it origination in the London Transport Collection. However, following the creation of TfL (Transport for London) in 2000, his remit has been expanded for covering every aspect of the transportation in London. The museum is operated from couple of sites in the city with the main being Covent Garden. This site is open to everyone all the time. Another site of the LT Museum is located in Acton. It is known as the London Transport Museum Depot. It is principally a storage site and is open for the general mass on every visitor day in the year.
